This is the ultimate guide for people looking for a phone that can do it all. I'm tired of people drooling over the new voyager/env's which are nothing new. They do the same thing my old razr v3 did 3 years ago but come in a new package. Big deal. The Samsung i760 once fitted with these mods blows any phone from verizon out of the water. Give it a look over. Its worth it.

SMS Notification
this mod removes the constant notification when a text message is sent.
1. Download the mobile register need to edit the registry on your phone from here http://www.zaksenterprises.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=83&func=fileinfo&id=26
2. Save the file on your phone and run the cab file to install the registry editor
3. Run PHM Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Inbox
4. With Inbox selected click on Edit->New Key
5. Name the new key "Settings"
6. Click on Settings and then click on Edit->New String Value
7. Name the string "SMSNoSentMsg" and give it the value "1" and click ok
8. Click on Tools->Exit
9. Leave the phone on for a minute to allow the new value to be saved. Then restart the phone.
View Youtube Videos
This mod allows yours to stream youtube videos on your mobile phone
1. Download the "flash video codec" here http://www.zaksenterprises.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=83&func=fileinfo&id=20 and save it on your phone.
2. Download the "Tcp Media Player" here http://www.zaksenterprises.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=83&func=fileinfo&id=21 and save it on your phone.
3. From your phone click on the Tcp Media player cab and install the player first.
4. Restart the phone.
5. From your phone click on the flash video codec cab and install the codec.
6. Restart the phone.
7. From your phone go to "Programs->TCPMP" and the the media player
8. Go to "Settings" then click Select Page->File Associations
9. Check the box next to "Flash Video"
10. Restart your phone one last time. You should be able to go to youtube and click on a video and the media player should open automatically and start streaming the video.
Bluetooth DUN
1. Download the bluetooth DUN application from http://www.zaksenterprises.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=83&func=fileinfo&id=25
2. Move the file to your phone.
3. Run the program from your phone. This will enable the Bluetooth DUN profile on your phone
4. Pair your phone and computer and Allow Dialup Networking
5. Go to your bluetooth configuration in your control panel on your computer. There you should find the Dialup Networking option.
6. Click to connect. It should take a second to connect to your phone. Once the login screen pops up input the following information:
USERNAME: yourmobilenumber@vzw3g.com PASSWORD: vzw DIAL: #777
7. Click connect
DUN (Tethered)
1. You will need to get ahold of QPST. I can't give download locations for this file but just do a google search for "QPST 2.7"
2. Download and install the needed drivers for the i760 here http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=us&CttFileID=1860154&CDCttType=SW&ModelType=N&ModelName=SCH-I760&VPath=SW/200802/20080227023221718_MCCI_WHQL_USB_Modem_Driver_4.40.7.exe
3. Connect your phone and allow the software to detect and install the phone
4. Start QPST Configuration
5. When the box pops up click on "Ports". If you don't see any ports that have something under the "phone" area then you will have to add a new port on step 6. Otherwise skip to step 7.
6. Click on add port then the one that says "diagnostic"
7. Select the port that shows information under the "phone" section and then click "Start Clients -> Service Programming"
8. When the next screen loads click on "Read Phone" at the bottom of your screen
9. Once its done reading click on M.IP. It might be off screen so you have to click the arrows at the top to see it.
10. Under "User Profile" click on the first profile. You should see it has two usernames both with your mobile number but the endings are different. You need to change the one thats for tethered to yourmobilenumber@vzw3g.com removing the "dun" part. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE
11. Click ok to return to the previous screen
12. Click on "Write to Phone" and do not remove the phone until it says it been programmed successfully.
13. Restart the phone and exit out of QPST. Remove your phone from the usb port and reinsert it.
14. From your phone go to "Settings->System->Data Connection" and click on "As modem through USB"
15. Your phone will take a second to switch over and your computer might detect a new piece of hardware and install it.
16. Once its done go to your "Network Connections" area on your computer found in your control panel.
17. Click to add a connection. You are going to make a dialup connection by selecting "Connect to Internet->Setup Manually->Connect Using dialup modem" and select the one that says "Standard Modem"
18. You should get to the area asking for the number to dial. It will be #777
19. For the username put yourmobilenumber@vzw3g.com and for the password put "vzw"
20. You should be able to connect now using your phone tethered via cable
